PODCAST NOTES - Listen HERE

Hello, and welcome to the show where we dive into the world of hormone balance, wellness, women's health strategies and natural remedies. I'm your host Victoria L, and today, we're going to explore a topic that's close to my heart: Hormone Seed Cycling. I'll be sharing my personal journey and the incredible benefits I've experienced. So, let's get started!

Before we delve into the benefits, let me give you a bit of background, in case you are new here. I've dealt with hormone imbalances for years. It led to issues like irregular periods, mood swings, PCOS, ENDO, extreme fatigue, bloating, weight gan and so much more. When perimenopause hit me like a runaway freight train I knew something needed to change.

My journey with seed cycling began when I stumbled upon this natural remedy while researching ways to balance hormones. The concept was simple: by incorporating specific seeds into your diet during your menstrual cycle, you could help regulate hormone levels, and potentially decrease the symptoms of PMS and perimenopause, as well as a long list of of benefits that came with this little powerhouse morsels . I was intrigued and decided to give it a try.

I had already been tracking my cycles for about a year, and new approximately how my body flowed between the two phases of our cycle. I also had become very familiar with the way my body would feel during these phases, and could usually predict IF I was going to end up with an extra period for no good reason. To start with seed cycling I divided my menstrual cycle into the two phases: the follicular phase and the luteal phase. During the follicular phase (days 1-14), I focused on flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds. These seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids and lignans, which can support estrogen balance. In the luteal phase (days 15-28), I switched to sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. These seeds contain nutrients that may help support progesterone production and balance. it was pretty simple to get these into my diet actually. They either went into my smoothies or my oats. I didn't overthink this one.

I have been very diligent at keeping these seed in my cycles for about 4 months now, and have experienced 6 cycles in that time (I got 2 bonus periods that I am attributing to overwhelm and travel). But here is what you came her for..... let's talk about the results. After several months of seed cycling, I noticed some remarkable changes in my body and overall well-being.

1. More Regular Periods: One of the most noticeable benefits is that my cycle has become a more regular menstrual cycle. Less surprise periods, less heavy periods, more predictable changes. Like I sad before I am more able to notice the symptoms of pms and am able to predict the period changes

2. Improved Mood / PMS: My mood swings and PMS symptoms became more manageable. I felt more balanced emotionally. I am also noticing that my PMS isn't as exhausting, and I have had less hormone migraines since starting seed cycling

3. Clearer Skin: I started to see improvements in my skin's condition, less redness in my cheeks, and less hormonal breakouts.

4. Increased Energy: I have felt more energetic and focused, especially during the luteal phase, which is traditionally when many women, including myself experience fatigue."

As you can see, these are some GREAT reasons to consider seed cycling, but So far in this experience, these would be my major my advice and takeaways for other women who in the same boat as me here. These are a few pieces of advice based on my experience."

1. Patience: Hormones take time to rebalance. It's essential to be patient and give your body time to adapt.

2. Book a Consultation: I recommend discussing seed cycling to ensure it's a suitable approach for your specific needs, and to help you create a strategy that aligns with your health goals."

3. Consistency: Staying consistent with your seed cycling routine is key to seeing results. Like i said, it takes time to rebalance years of hormonal clusterfucks, you need to stay consistent to get the results you need"

All this to say; my experience with seed cycling has been incredibly positive so far. Obviously It's not a magical solution, but it's certainly a tool in my holistic strategy to hormone rebalancing. I hope my journey has inspired you to explore these natural remedies and consider what other strategies might work for you.
