Jordan shares her experience of dealing with hormone imbalances, addiction to caffeine, and body dysmorphia. She emphasizes the importance of making small, sustainable changes to improve hormone health, such as switching to clean products and incorporating healthy habits into daily routines. Victoria highlights the significance of stress management, proper nutrition, and regular bowel movements for hormonal balance. They also discuss the benefits of using Arbonne products, including a greens drink, gut health support, and magnesium supplements.

Victoria (00:01.012)

Hey everyone, welcome back for another episode of Victoria L. I am Victoria, your woman's holistic health strategist, and I am really excited today to be sharing with you a special guest. So Jordan and I connected quite a while ago with regards to just hormone stuff. Jordan's story really resonated. Hers is a little bit different than mine, but different and same, right? When it comes to the female hormones.

It seems to me we all kind of connect over the same thing and trying to find solutions and strategies that actually work and help us and to move us forward in our health. So Jordan, I'd love for you today to kind of share with us, you know, what your story is, how you found solutions, what strategies have worked for you. And yeah, if you can just tell us a little bit more about you, that would be great.

Jordan Krause (00:50.595)

Amazing. Thank you so much Victoria and thank you everyone for tuning in. Honestly, I'm so honored to be on here and just chatting with you guys about something that I'm so passionate about. Hormones have really been a main focus in my life for the past, boy, probably like six, seven years. And I think that is just such a great learning in itself that like hormones are always evolving, right? They're always a part of us, especially as females. We have such complex bodies that...

It's not really like a done process. It's getting in tune with your body, learning the cues in your body and really kind of starting to listen and go inside and be like, okay, what do I need? And that was something that, you know, if we rewind about eight years ago, I grew up as a competitive hockey player. I have always been active. I played at an elite level. I played for Team Canada.

I played down in the States, so I was always very go, go, go. I've always been very multi -passionate. I now work as a full -time dentist out here in Vancouver. I also run a six -figure, multiple six -figure sales business online through network marketing. And I've got a lot on my plate, and I always have. And that about in my early 20s, I was feeling a lot of different symptoms. And...

I kind of brush them under the rug, which I think a lot of people do. And we just start to take what our body should be functioning as and we start to consider it a normal or like a new normal. And we just get used to feeling like crap. I was severely addicted to coffee. I was having like 1 ,100 milligrams a day of caffeine, which is a lot.

Victoria (02:37.62)

Man, I thought I would like to coffee, that's crazy.

Jordan Krause (02:41.219)

An average Starbucks coffee is about 330 milligrams for a grande Starbucks and I was having 1 ,100. So it was a lot, but I felt like crap. I had no energy. I was literally just having caffeine just to get by, just to ward off a migraine so that I wasn't a shell of a human. And I had zero sex drive in my early 20s. I lost my period for two years, so I was a hot mess. Tack on to that.

Victoria (02:45.236)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (03:09.795)

you know, the extremes, I jumped from hockey into bodybuilding, you know, so obviously diet and exercise extremes, body dysmorphia, I dealt with bulimia for two and a half years just from that perfection mentality. And I went into my doctor to get things looked at. And they looked at me and they were like, you probably wouldn't be able to have kids if you stayed this course. And for somebody like me, because like my test, I basically wasn't producing estrogen. And,

Victoria (03:37.382)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (03:39.267)

For me, that was like the rock bottom where I needed to kind of experience that to be like, okay, something needs to change. Like something needs to give. And I think in a lot of people's journeys, there is that rock bottom where it's like, okay, I've either, you know, lost my period or I just am sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. And I can't show up for my kids this way. I can't function in that way. I've tried so much that that was my experience. And then from there, I just...

started to educate myself a little bit more. And if you're on this podcast and you're listening to it, you're probably in the same boat where you're just kind of wanting to learn a little bit more about hormone health, about those little simple things that you can do. And especially from somebody who is very busy, it's overwhelming. And I can't take an hour in my day to do this beautiful...

Victoria (04:26.58)

It is. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (04:33.635)

morning routine that has all of these amazing steps. So finding things that I could work into my day that really helped move that needle forward in my health from an internal level, changed things. So a couple of things I started doing was I completely changed how I was working out, how I was viewing exercise and my eating. I really got away from all the number tracking and this and that because that's what made me sick in the first place that got me to those extreme diet levels. And I started to just really focus on.

intuitive eating, I also looked at the products that I was using because my doctor and I worked with a naturopath and all this kind of stuff, I was taking a lot of supplements to help out with my hormones. But the biggest thing that I wasn't doing was looking at my products. And I was spending so much time and energy and money and effort.

And then I was putting all of these things on my skin where our skin is our largest organ. It takes 26 seconds for an ingredient to enter into our bloodstream through our skin. I was like, what am I doing? You know? And so I just really started to switch and ditch and I didn't do it all at once. That would be overwhelming and very expensive to just end wasteful, you know? But I just started taking little rooms in my house and I kind of tackled it like every two weeks I would do like a different room. So maybe it was my laundry room.

Victoria (05:36.34)

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (05:55.491)

Okay, I would get, you know, dryer balls and use, you know, essential oils and a non -fragranced clean laundry detergent. Okay, great. That was fine for that two weeks. And then I moved to my bathroom. What can I switch and ditch here? My makeup, my hair stuff, you know, my shower, like all these different aspects. And I just started to switch and ditch them in a way that felt really good for me, right?

Victoria (06:17.3)

Yeah. Yeah.

Victoria (06:22.708)

I love that. I love that you broke it down like that. Because one of the biggest things with our hormones is when we are in a state of stress and overwhelm, that messes them up even more. So I love that you were like, okay, I can't do this all at once, but I need to make changes. So I'm going to break it down into little tiny steps and I'm going to do one thing at a time. I think that's really important that people hear that. So thank you for sharing that. We continue. I just wanted to really reiterate how important that is.

Jordan Krause (06:38.595)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (06:47.971)

Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, and it's so true because, you know, I think when you look at any journey, whether it's weight loss, whether it's your hormone health, whether it's a switch and ditch journey, you know, whatever it is, if you view it as this whole massive, you know, jump, most people will get overwhelmed or they'll make a lot of change all at once and then they'll never continue with it, right? Because it's too overwhelming, it's too much change, right?

It's like when I help people with their weight loss or with other health goals that they have, start small and implement those little healthy habits as you go, and then that will become so much more routine. A lunchtime walk instead of sitting in the staff room, getting outside in the morning, having a green strength in the morning, all these certain things, mixing in more protein into your day. Don't try to go from having 50 grams of protein to 150. You're gonna make yourself sick and it's not gonna be enjoyable.

Victoria (07:41.716)

Yeah, no.

Jordan Krause (07:42.819)

start to ease in and add these little healthy habits that make you feel good. And the biggest thing is when you start to feel that difference in your body, and I could start to cut out that caffeine and I started to feel my sex drive return and I actually like, let's call a spade a spade when I could actually start to like get wet again, you know, like my body was lubricating itself. It was like, wow, I can feel like a female and not just like a shell of a human, right?

Victoria (08:02.612)

Yeah.

Yeah.

Victoria (08:12.372)

Yeah, yeah.

Jordan Krause (08:13.383)

For me, that whole journey, and if you're somebody that's in that switch and ditch journey, it can be overwhelming. I don't know if any of you, I'm sure there are, have gone to the store, Shoppers Drug Mart, you know, whatever, super store, these things, and you're trying to look for clean products. You're like, okay, what are you just naming out here? There is so much marketing that says clean, natural, whatever, but they actually aren't. You know what I mean?

Victoria (08:25.78)

Yeah.

Victoria (08:41.94)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (08:43.203)

that I started using an app that I would just scan products and try to see, and so many of them weren't even good for me. So I found that process quite overwhelming, and it really led me to the business that I'm in today where I wanted something where I could easily switch and ditch my products. That was really what it was. And I found Arbonne. That's what I purchased through just because I know of their quality, their standards. They test everything through the European grade.

Victoria (08:57.3)

Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (09:10.339)

which everything in Europe is just better. Look at their food, look at their like pasta, their food quality. my God, it's so much better. So anything European standard, I'm like, okay, I'm kind of here for. And that just made it really easy because I could get everything I needed there. Literally my shampoo, my conditioner, my body lotion, my makeup, my skincare. And I was like, okay, this is all done. It's all been, you know.

Victoria (09:12.756)

Yeah. So much better. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (09:36.259)

third party tested, it's all through the European standards, banned 2 ,000 different ingredients, fantastic, clean, conscious, connected, done. That sounds amazing, and I could just order it from my house. So as somebody who was busy, who was trying to do all this kind of stuff, I needed, like it was a need, like I needed something like that to just be able to switch and ditch my life in a really easy way that was cost efficient and time efficient as well. Yeah.

Victoria (10:01.14)

Yeah, and I think that makes it, that's a really good point because like we have these amazing green stores where you can go and everything's supposed to be healthy and natural. And I've used that, the dirty app and scan some of these things in these stores. And I'm like, this is not good. Like this is not a good product, but they're in that environment where you think you can go and everything is good for you. And you know, especially when it comes to our skincare products, some of those things.

Jordan Krause (10:17.667)

Mm -hmm. Mm -hmm.

Victoria (10:30.1)

are horrendous. And I love that, you know, taking taking the initiative to stop putting things on our skin that are toxic that are disrupting our hormones. Those are those are really good initiatives. And I do love that, you know, you aligned with a company that brought you kind of like everything you needed to your door. And you could trust and be confident that it's okay, and it's good. And, you know, like you don't have to.

Jordan Krause (10:31.779)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (10:58.228)

You don't have to double, triple check all the ingredients every single time because you're worried that this is not in alignment with what you need for your body. And so you mentioned that there's some things that you started to add in. I love that you spoke of, you know, your health journey and how you went from being like a super intense workout person to shifting and adding in these little habits. I know you love your greens and you're really, really passionate about those.

Jordan Krause (11:23.107)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (11:26.004)

Do you mind sharing with us kind of maybe some of the things that you incorporate in your day so that you can switch that healthy, you know, into a healthier mindset of fitness and all that kind of stuff?

Jordan Krause (11:31.619)

now.

Jordan Krause (11:39.939)

Yeah, of course. So I'll just kind of like walk you through my day and stuff that I you know, really switched over. So the first thing that I did is if you are in a position where you are in that extreme mentality, you're maybe somebody that is dealing with, you know, body dysmorphia or, or, you know, the number stuff or stress or whatever, please do a bit of like an audit on your life. You know, if you're following accounts or that, you know, there's

Victoria (11:43.284)

Mm -hmm.

Jordan Krause (12:07.651)

people that are showing up on your social platform or your Facebook or you know, in your life that are damaging to this journey that you're undertaking, set some boundaries, okay? That is super important for your stress, for your own, like even if you don't feel that stress, your body feels it, okay? So I went through and I muted, you can mute people on Instagram without having to unfollow them and if you don't know how, you just click and hold on their face on your.

your Instagram and press the mute button because getting those people out of your era, like I had to get rid of those people that were still in that phase of life that made me sick. You know, you can't heal in the same place that makes you sick. That's why people go to rehab. Okay. So you got to create your own kind of rehab at home. If you're still buying the same products and the same, your body's not going to heal. If you're still hanging out with the same crowd that's, you know, pumping,

Victoria (12:37.524)

Yeah, yeah.

Victoria (12:45.14)

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Victoria (12:52.148)

Yeah, yeah.

Victoria (13:00.884)

Mm -hmm. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (13:04.867)

For me, it was like diet, culture, diet, culture, diet, culture, diet, culture. I'm not gonna get healthy there, right? So set your own boundaries. And I think that's like one of the biggest things and start to surround yourself with a community of people that are getting, you know, healthy in a way that you want, in a way that's sustainable for you. So that's kind of my, one of my big takeaways. In the morning, I always start my morning with my green string. It's amazing. I...

Victoria (13:11.348)

No, yeah.

Victoria (13:21.588)

Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (13:30.211)

I now from somebody that was having 1 ,100 milligrams of caffeine a day, I now have 110, which is half of what like pregnant women can have. So, and I have the most energy that I ever have. Like I remember laying in bed and I would always set my coffee machine to be on the kind of the auto setting and I would hear the ding ding go off and I was like, God bless. Like I can survive. I can make another day. We are here. And.

Victoria (13:38.164)

Yeah.

Victoria (13:54.004)

Yeah.

Victoria (13:57.876)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (13:59.715)

I just really yearned for, like my mind went back one day and I was like, how do kids, like kids just wake up and they like have energy. And like, we were like that, like what changed? You know, what changed? Why do we now need this substance to feel that organic energy within our body, right? And I really started to kind of play with that. I was like, I want to get that back. Like I want to just wake up and like not have to have something, you know? So.

Victoria (14:07.124)

Hmm.

Yeah, yeah, true, yeah.

Victoria (14:27.988)

Hmm.

Jordan Krause (14:29.091)

really the big reason is like when you're pumping your adrenal glands, which are kind of like our energy and like our hormone center in our body with external caffeine all the time, they're just like, hey, I'm gonna go on vacation. Like I'm gonna shut off, right? Because you've got enough of this going on here. So I didn't go cold turkey. I got rid of my afternoon cup and then I kind of.

Victoria (14:41.364)

Mm -hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Yep.

Jordan Krause (14:53.315)

got rid of my other cups in the day and started to slowly kind of switch and ditch those for the physics that I use now. But now I just have my greens drink in the morning, which is a combination of a greens powder. You guys, I am a lazy cook. I will fully admit that. I buy the same groceries all the time. God bless my fiance or else I'd be malnutrition. But it is what it is, right? I'm not a Martha Stewart. Some of us aren't blessed with that.

Victoria (15:15.732)

Yep. Yep.

Jordan Krause (15:19.811)

energy in the kitchen and that's fine but we also know as women that we need all of those micronutrients because we do have so many physiological processes going on in our body, right? So this greens powder, it's got 36, the micronutrients from 36 different fruits and vegetables in it. I definitely don't eat 36 different fruits and vegetables every single day. If you do, kudos to you. I'm gonna give you a round of applause.

Victoria (15:25.108)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (15:42.947)

The second one is our gut health support product. So it's got probiotics prebiotics and digestive enzymes in the one product, which is huge I was just at the store yesterday and I saw that digestive enzymes alone were like $44 for 30 days and I was like It's crazy

Victoria (15:56.852)

Yeah, it's insane. The prices in the health food stores. I was just, I was, yeah, well, like last month I was going through trying to find stuff and I was like, what is happening? Like what is happening? Yeah. And I love that it has everything. Yeah. Like I love that the gut health is all of it. It's not like 17 different products. It's like one. So amazing. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (16:09.251)

Yeah, they have jacked up so much. Totally. It's

Yeah.

Yeah, exactly. It's easy to take. It's got our skin elixir, which is a vegan collagen builder. It gets people clinical results within seven days. And I think collagen is such a, it's kind of like a trendy thing right now. Obviously it's great for hair, skin, nails, kind of all those vanity places. But I also want to remind you that collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in our body and it's huge in our joints too. So arthritis.

Victoria (16:25.876)

Yeah.

Victoria (16:33.716)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (16:46.563)

you know, sore back, sore knees, chronic pain, all these types of things are really, really huge for collagen support. So it's got that in there. And then I add an aphids for flavor and just kind of that morning pick me up. And that's something I have every single day. It's easy to make. It takes me 30 seconds. It's a simple habit and it just helps. I don't bloat anymore. I don't really have that same water retention that I did before. My energy is through the roof. I know I'm getting my...

micronutrients, I have regular bowel movements, you know, those are so huge. Like if you are not having regular bowel movements every day, you are not detoxing your body, you can spend as much money you want on detox teas, this, that, and the other thing. You gotta be eliminating, okay? And that's...

Victoria (17:28.724)

Yep. Yep. Yep. I did a whole podcast on poop and perimetapause because it's so important. It is so, and as we hit perimetapause, like you're not there yet, but as you hit that, things slow down down there big time. And you're like, I can't poop. Why? So I did a whole podcast on like fiber and perimetapause and pooping. So if you're interested in that, check the podcast. Yep.

Jordan Krause (17:34.819)

I love it.

Jordan Krause (17:44.227)

Yeah. Yeah.

Mm -hmm.

Jordan Krause (17:51.939)

Yeah, the, go listen to the poop podcast, because pooping is so important. And no, the gut health product that we have has prebiotics, probiotics, and digestive enzymes in it. Prebiotics are that fiber that you need, okay? There's fiber worked into these products for a reason, and then for a reason because your body needs it. As women, we need about 35 grams of fiber a day, right? So we need those things in our body.

Victoria (17:58.548)

It is.

No.

Victoria (18:08.084)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (18:17.076)

Yeah, yeah.

Jordan Krause (18:20.291)

for it to work properly, our bodies are very smart. Think about the human body, it's incredible. We just gotta treat it right, right? And a lot of times our food and stuff just doesn't have that same quality. So that's a huge component in my day there. I add in some manifestation into my day now. That was something that I really incorporated about four months ago. And it's been game changing. And it's something so I...

It's usually about whatever 15, 20 minutes long, whether I'm in the car, whether I'm actually sitting down, but it's something that I at least have going into my ears of just like, you know, calming my nervous system. And that was huge for me and finding out little ways that I could do that. There's something called the Healthy Habits Hub that we offer to our community. And...

It's got everything in there from breath work to tapping. Tapping is huge for resetting. And if you're someone that you're like, I've tried meditation, but I just start thinking about my grocery list. Like I just start thinking about the million things that I have to do and I can't sit here and just meditate. I was her. Okay. I was her. I get it. We're all busy. We've got lots of things going on. Tapping for me was huge.

Victoria (19:24.18)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (19:40.98)

Hmm.

Jordan Krause (19:42.371)

because I was physically doing something. I was saying things. I was involved in the process, but I was also rewiring my nervous system to do that. So that was a huge added bonus. And that community coming from a really number focused, diet culture focused community to the Healthy Habits Club, which is just basically, it's a free community for all of our clients. And you get provided with different workouts, recipes, mindset tools, intuitive eating modules, nutritional modules.

Victoria (19:44.66)

Hmm. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (20:10.019)

tapping sessions, hundreds of resources. I think there's over 750 different recordings in that one online platform. And that for me was huge just to start to realize even just incorporating different breath breaks during the day. Taking a second to just breathe like five solid breaths in the middle of a busy day.

Victoria (20:28.916)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (20:36.995)

does so much to regulate our nervous system, getting out for a lunchtime walk, adding an additional protein. So making sure that like that is a main focus. I have a smoothie or some sort of protein shake a day because as women, most women do not like uptake as much protein as we should be. And it's so huge for our muscle retention, for, you know, anti -aging, just like for our wellbeing.

Victoria (20:37.14)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (21:04.323)

We just need I know that that's something that you're super passionate about too So

Victoria (21:07.844)

Yeah, protein is a huge one for us. And I find it is so difficult to, you know, people, I mean, one, we don't sit down to eat very often, right? So we're on the go. I love getting a protein shake. I have a protein shake every day. My protein shake has probably like 27 different things in it because I'm just like, I don't have time to sit down and do all these things. So like my greens, my probiotics, my prebiotics, everybody goes in together and I just.

Jordan Krause (21:17.731)

Mm -hmm.

Jordan Krause (21:35.139)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (21:35.892)

I just love it, right? It's so simple and so easy. And I know that I'm getting a good dose of protein. I know that, you know, I'm, I can sip that on my way to work and I'm not worried about, you know, whether or not I'm, I hit my, my protein macros before lunch or anything like that. So I love that. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (21:51.939)

Yeah, yeah, exactly. And the nice thing about the protein too is like the one that I use, I hated a lot of vegan proteins because they were so chalky. I would go to drink them and I was like, I feel like I'm drinking dirt right now. And I was very resistant to it. I used to be in my bodybuilding days, like a sponsored athlete that was sponsored by all these different companies. I got protein sent to me and it was all whey and I ate a lot of it, but I didn't realize how bloated it made me.

Victoria (22:03.572)

Mm -hmm. Mm -hmm.

Jordan Krause (22:21.123)

how inflamed I was and how much it made me break out like in weird spots like on my back and whatever. But I tried so many plant -based proteins that were so chalky so I was quite hesitant to try the one I kept hearing, my gosh, Arbos protein is so good, it's so good. I was like, no, it can't be. Nothing will beat whey. Like I was stubborn. But I tried it and now I'm addicted to it because it's.

Victoria (22:36.756)

Mm -hmm. Yeah.

Victoria (22:42.468)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (22:47.811)

Genuinely creamy it tastes delicious. It's got 23 different vitamins and minerals in it It's not made with seed oils like it's the only protein on the market that doesn't have you know, inflammatory seed oils in it, which I'm not crazy strict on but it's also really nice to know that you're not adding to that inflammatory Response in your body right and you know, I always say with hormones with health in general. It's all about

Victoria (22:53.844)

Hmm.

Victoria (23:09.14)

Mm -hmm. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (23:15.747)

looking at that little dial and saying, okay, can I make this conscious decision to be a more conscious consumer or do something good for my body? If we have, there's so much that we can't control in this world. If we can make those choices ourselves for the things that we can control, our products, what we're putting in our body, those simple habits, getting outside for a walk.

you know, focusing on sleep and stress. I have my Intercom, which is my night, kind of my nightcap every single night. It's a blend of Ashwagandha, L -theanine, and saffron root. Huge, huge, hugely supportive of ingredients for our stress response. And that's when I notice it. I can't turn my brain off at night. That's where Intercom comes in and helps me get a more restful sleep, a deeper sleep. And I see it in my aura ring. I see it in my cycles.

Victoria (23:41.3)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (24:04.276)

Interesting. Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (24:06.051)

It's so huge when I take that supplement of just my REM sleep, my restorative sleep, and what's actually happening. Yeah.

Victoria (24:12.884)

Yeah, that is one of the, that's kind of the thing that sold me. And I know I told you this story, but like, so I have taken Ashwagandha for about a year now, a different products. I absolutely love it. It is such an amazing, supportive plant for our bodies and especially for our cycles. Ladies, if you are not taking it, you really should be taking it. It is so, so supportive. There are small, very, very small, excuse me.

percentage of women who shouldn't take it, but I guarantee you're probably one of the people that should. And I just, I noticed like it really does help with my cycle. It keeps me calm. It helps me be restful. And then about a month ago, I did start trying the Intercom with the Ashwagandha in it. And I stopped taking the other one that I was taking. And this month,

I had the best sleep around my cycle that I've ever had. I have my, I always wear my FitBit at night and I was like, I'm getting, I'm actually getting like a full sleep. This is crazy. Like this never happens around my cycle. And I also noticed that it was actually a normal menstruation completely. Like it was three days. It wasn't crazy. It was a little uncomfortable day two, three, like normal, but like,

I even, I said to my husband, I'm like, I don't know. I like, I'm having a normal period and I'm like 42 years old. And he's like, okay. I'm like, what is going on? He's like, great. So happy for you. And I'm like, no, but like what's going on? And then I, I was listening to other people talk about intercom and how it was affecting their cycles and how it's helping their cycles. And I was like, well, goddamn.

Jordan Krause (25:44.067)

Yeah, he's like, okay great. Yeah.

Victoria (26:00.98)

That's what's happened. That's the difference. That is really the only thing that has changed for me this month at all. So I was really impressed. I'm so happy with that. Like, it's amazing.

Jordan Krause (26:01.123)

Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (26:13.795)

It's such a great product and I help so many women who are dealing with so many of these things, whether it's energy or bloating or their cycles. And honestly, so much of it is all intertwined. I always look at our cycle and I love this viewpoint. I can't remember who I heard it from. It might have been in a podcast by Dr. Jolene Brighton or somebody, but she said, our cycles as women are kind of like our monthly report card.

Victoria (26:22.004)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (26:26.452)

Mm -hmm. Yeah.

Victoria (26:35.7)

Mm.

Victoria (26:41.364)

Mm -hmm. So true. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (26:41.891)

It's kind of like a reflection on like, hey, how did you care for your body? What were your stress levels like? How did you listen intuitively to the movement and the nutrition that you needed? How are your hormones doing? And when we normalize painful periods, periods that are terrible or that are seven days long of heavy bleeding, irregularity, like all these things, we're not listening to those signs in our cues. Like it's our fifth vital sign.

Victoria (26:48.708)

you

Victoria (27:00.852)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (27:10.851)

It's all of these kind of reflections on what we've been doing. And the biggest thing that I learned was, you know, in our luteal phase, which is our second half of our cycle after ovulation, that's when our body is the most susceptible to changes. So I dealt with a lot of, once I got my period back, you guys, I had, I've been tracking my cycle for, gosh, now the past six years, every single cycle. So I have the length, the duration.

Victoria (27:12.212)

Yeah.

Jordan Krause (27:37.155)

of all those trends and it's really interesting to see periods of time when I'm more stressed than when I'm not and my body specifically is very sensitive to physiological stress in the second half of my cycle. I would have 80 day cycles, 60, 70, and it was funny, I was in my past relationship and it was very stressful at the end of it. You guys, I was in like 60 to 70. You do not wanna know how many pregnancy tests I peed on in my life. Like.

Victoria (27:41.876)

No.

Victoria (27:48.18)

All right.

Victoria (28:05.94)

Yeah, right? my god, I was gonna say that one that would just send me through the roof like, my god.

Jordan Krause (28:06.819)

There were a lot.

Jordan Krause (28:12.163)

And I was just like, it's not even possible, but I'm still gonna pee on a stick because it's been 60 days, you know? And it was funny because when I met my current partner, who are now engaged, we're getting married in November, my cycle month to month dropped from, I believe it was 62 days to like 42. And I was like, okay, physiological stress, it's a thing. So listening to your body in that...

Victoria (28:18.804)

Yeah. Yeah.

Jordan Krause (28:40.163)

phase and I always recommend like I take our it's called appetite control. It's it's a great magnesium supplement. There's a lot out there but magnesium and my intercom in the second half of my cycle to help combat that physiological stress keeps me regular and now I'm down to a regular 28 to 32 day cycle. It's normal. It feels good. I don't get massive bloating or cramping. Of course, there's those natural like you said little bit of symptoms. We're shedding a womb.

Victoria (29:00.82)

reason.

Jordan Krause (29:09.603)

Let's be realistic. It's not gonna be the most comfortable. It's a big thing. We are shedding a womb that was not impregnated. It's gonna be slightly uncomfortable, but considering what our bodies are going through, the perspective shift of being aware of it, you know, you might get a little bloated in the second half of your cycle. Okay, your body's creating a womb. Now we're shedding it. Things might be a bit uncomfy.

Victoria (29:09.812)

Yeah. Yeah, it's a big thing. It's a big thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Victoria (29:25.396)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (29:32.788)

Yeah, yeah.

Jordan Krause (29:34.755)

but it should not be debilitating, it should not be terrible, and you should be able to just function as normal through your life, right? So, totally.

Victoria (29:41.076)

Yeah, yeah, and that's the biggest thing. That is huge, and I love that you shared that. Thank you, yeah.

Jordan Krause (29:46.691)

Yeah, so little, you know, little changes that make a really big difference was really what I did. Like a lot of people love to, you know, hear those big, grand, massive shifts in my life that I made and all these things. And it's like, no, it's really just those small little shifts that I made that led to.

Victoria (29:52.212)

Mm -hmm.

Victoria (30:05.076)

Mm -hmm.

Jordan Krause (30:09.347)

a really big difference in how I felt, how my body is functioning, and now being able to just help so many other women feel that same way. And I know that that's kind of the mission that you're on too.

Victoria (30:20.244)

Yeah, yeah, 100%. Well, I really appreciate you being here with me today, Jordan. This has been awesome. I love also, you know, we're very different in age, but I love that, you know, we can come together and find a way to talk about this and to share and to help other women through all these phases. Because there are so many support systems out there for us, right? We don't have to be...

doing this all alone and you know, like you said, it's not normal to be in so much pain and so much discomfort all the time. And I love that, you know, not only have you helped me find a couple of different things and a couple of different ways to do things, but now that we're here talking about it. So guys, if you are listening and this resonates with you and you want to, you know, learn more or take this deeper, please check the show notes. I'll make sure that we have our links and connections there for you. If,

some of these products that we talked about or some of these strategies that we talked about today, you're like, I need that in my life. Please reach out. I'm more than happy to help you to get you some solutions and answer any questions that you have. So thank you, Jordan, so much for being here. Is there any last little tip that you'd like to share before we log off today?

Jordan Krause (31:35.619)

The only thing that I might add in is, you know, in the show notes, what we'll do is we can add in even a link that just has like a little quick two minute survey that if any of you are listening in and you're like, okay, I kind of need some help here, but I don't really know where to start. Just click on that link, fill out that survey, it'll go directly to Victoria and she can kind of help you with some customizations and whatnot for different resources and tools and stuff that we have that might really make a big change in your life. So.

Just know that, but that's a really easy kind of fill out that we can just chat back and forth with you and see if anything would click to help you along with your hormone journey.

Victoria (32:16.724)

Yeah, awesome, thank you. I completely forgot about that. I have that all ready to go and I forgot all about it. Thank you so much. Awesome. All right, guys, we will see you next week for another podcast. Thank you so much.

Jordan Krause (32:19.738)

I was like, that will help people so much. Of course.

Jordan Krause (32:33.155)

Thank you.
